The WIPO/CEIPI/INPI Advanced Training Course on Technology Transfer, Licensing and Development is jointly organised for the first time in 2014 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) and the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). While specifically targeting technology transfer, this Program continues with the spirit and orientation of WIPO/CEIPI/INPI Advanced Training Course on the Legal, Administrative and Economic Aspects of Intellectual Property, jointly organized by the same organizations since 1978. The present course adheres to the ongoing commitments of previous editions addressing fundamental and contemporary technology-related issues and its implications for development, therefore giving continuity to the traditional pathway.

The training is addressed to officials of national and regional intellectual property offices and science and technology ministries of developing countries, least developed countries and emerging economies, and it is aimed at building their human capacity as well as enhancing the awareness of the relationship between intellectual property rights and technology transfer.
