Intellectual Property & Business Administration Certified Course distance learning

The aim of the Intellectual Property Business Administration certified course is to provide distance training for specialists (IP lawyers, IP attorneys, industrial property attorneys) and non-specialists in intellectual property, such as marketing professionals, project managers, company directors and anyone else interested, in the role of intellectual property in business and its day-to-day management.

In addition to being aimed at non-specialists in the field, this diploma offers basic instruction in the management of intellectual property rights.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has developed considerable expertise in the field of intellectual property management, and has joined forces with CEIPI to enrich the content of this diploma with the development of three teaching modules.

Language of training: English

Participants are flexible in their education. Learning without time pressure, as well as with a job and family are possible. With the modular system of these Certificates, participants can learn only what they currently need.

No level is required as the course does not lead to a diploma.

An admissions committee composed of the training managers, assisted by one or two professionals, examines the application file to verify the level of English and the motivation of the candidates.

Each module can be taken independently. You can take the whole course, modules 1 to 4 or 5 to 8, or just register for a few modules.

Each module includes an online knowledge assessment in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire.

A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the course.

CEIPI teachers, specialists in intellectual property.

This training allows obtaining a university certificate under condition of meeting the knowledge assessment methods and skills that are brought to the attention of the participants.

The examination consists in a multiple-choice examination at the end of each module. Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 10/20 in the examination.

For each Certified course selected, the participant has 3 months (from the Agreement’s receipt date) to follow the training and take the exam.

Then, for each additional Certified course, another 3 months period is added to follow the trainings and take the exams.

For instance: for 3 certified courses, the participant has a total of 9 months to follow the 3 modules and take the 3 exams.

• Package of modules 1 to 4 or 5 to 8 (1 year of training, 4 modules): €3,250

Registrations stay open all year round without break (expect the 3 first weeks in August).

Candidates must complete an online pre-registration form accessible from May 5, 2025.
