The Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg is pleased to announce the signing of an international cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Law/Faculty of Intellectual Property at Jinan University in China, marking an important milestone in their collaboration in the field of intellectual property education and research.
The agreement was signed on 11 September 2025, during an official ceremony in Guangzhou, in the presence of Mr. Yann BASIRE, Director General of CEIPI, Prof. Guo Zongjie, Dean of the Faculty of Law/Faculty of Intellectual Property at Jinan University, Prof. WU Xinwang, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law/Faculty of Intellectual Property, Mr. DAI Zhe, Director of the Intellectual Property Department, Ms. HAN Siyan, Secretary for International Affairs of the Faculty of Law at Jinan University, and Ms. WEN Yingyi, Administrative Secretary for Intellectual Property.
Founded in 1906, Jinan University is one of the oldest universities in China and is part of the 211 Program, as one of the key universities in China. It welcomes ~48,000 students per year and was the first university in China to recruit foreign students.
This agreement marks the beginning of a series of collaborative initiatives, including student mobility, faculty exchanges, the development of joint training programs, and the organization of international seminars and conferences.
The aim is to promote a better understanding of international intellectual property issues, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and stimulate the training of future experts, lawyers, and researchers in this strategic field.
