The CEIPI is pleased to announce the publication of the volume 8 in its sub-collection dedicated to Conference Proceedings: Indications géographiques et produits industriels et artisanaux : vers l’uniformisation.
The French legislator was one of the first EU countries to introduce specific protection for industrial or artisanal products (Hamon law of 18 March 2014).
Almost ten years on, Regulation (EU) No 2023/2411 on the registration, protection and control of geographical indications (GIs) for industrial and artisanal products promises standardisation by introducing a European Union title that will be protected on the territory of EU Member States.
Directed by Romain Bouniol and Sylvain Chatry, with a preface by João Negrão, Executive Director of the EUIPO, the book measures the standardisation promised by the EU in the light of existing national provisions.
