The administrative council of the European Patent Office appointed Joseph RIOLO and Pascal GRYCZKA, two former students at the CEIPI, as chairman of the technical boards of appeal 3.3.07 and 3.3.11, respectively. The appointments were made during the 125th session held from the 26th to the 28th of October, 2010.
Joseph RIOLO studied biochemistry at the Université de Strasbourg and obtained a doctorate in organic chemistry and biochemistry. He was nomminated to a research chair at the CNRS. In 1999 he was appointed member of the appeal boards of the EPO.
Pascal GRYCZKA holds a masters in biochemistry and a DEA in organic chemistry from the Université Louis-Pasteur in Strasbourg. He was nomminated member of the appeal boards in 2002.
