Six CEIPI Lecturers Elected Judges of the Swiss Federal Patent Court

On March, 19, 2009 the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation voted the creation of a Federal Patent Court. This court is composed of judges with a technical background and a legal background. The judges of this new court have been choosen on June,16, 2010 and six of them take part to the different CEIPI courses.

  • Tobias Bremi, ("zweiter hauptamtlicher Richter"), obtained the CEIPI "Patent Course" Diploma in  2000 ; he is tutor to the preprep courses and the seminars preparing to the EQE, paper "D" ;
  • Erich Wäckerlin ("Ersatzrichter/Fachrichter"), is coordinator and tutor to the preprep courses and the seminars preparing to the EQE, paper "AB" and tutor to the preprep courses and the seminars preparing to the EQE, paper "C"
  • Natalia Clerc ("Ersatzrichter/Fachrichter"), is a former tutor to the epi/CEIPI basic training course ;
  • Kurt Sutter ("Ersatzrichter/Fachrichter"), is lecturer to the epi/CEIPI course Patent Litigation in Europe ;
  • Christophe Saam ("Ersatzrichter/Fachrichter"), is a lecturer to the epi/CEIPI course Patent Litigation in Europe and
  • Frank S. Schnyder, ("Ersatzrichter/Fachrichter"), is a lecturer to the Basic Training Course in Lausanne.
