Report of the UN Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Farida Shaheed, entitled “Copyright policy and the right to science and culture” (A/HRC/28/57)

On 24 December 2014, the report on “Copyright policy and the right to science and culture” of the UN Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Farida Shaheed, was submitted to the Human Rights Council.

In the report the Special Rapporteur examines copyright law and policy from the perspective of the right to science and culture, emphasizing both the need for protection of authorship and expanding opportunities for participation in cultural life.

Mr. Christophe Geiger, Associate Professor, Director General and Director of the Research Department of the CEIPI, participated in the preparation of the report as an expert.
