ECTA first prize for a CEIPI’s student of the Master in European and international Intellectual Property Law, directed by Christophe Geiger

We are happy to announce that M. Garry Trillet, student of the Research Master “European and International Intellectual Property Law”, directed by M. Christophe Geiger, received on June 21, 2013 in Bucharest, the first prize of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) in the student category for his work entitled “Registrability of smells, colors and sounds: How to overcome the challenges dressed by the requirements of graphical representation and distinctiveness within the European Union Law?”.

ECTA was formed in 1980. ECTA numbers 1500 members, coming from all the Member States of the European Union and associate members from all over the world. It brings together persons dealing professionally with trade marks (Lawyers, trade mark advisors, specialist practitioners in these areas).
