The CEIPI was pleased to welcome on 12 June 2019, Prof. Xiang Yu, Director of the Sino-European Institute for Intellectual Property of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China, for several lectures at CEIPI and for signing the renewal of their cooperation agreement.
The CEIPI and the HUST have been collaborating for several years. Eager to develop both their collaboration on training in intellectual property law, as well as common research areas, the two institutes signed a cooperation agreement on 8 October 2014 in Strasbourg, which contributed, between others, at the opening of the first Sino-European Institute for Intellectual Property in partnership with CEIPI, on 20 March 2018, in Wuhan.
As this cooperation agreement came to its end, both partners have decided to renew it. The signing took place in Strasbourg, in the presence of Professor Christophe Geiger, Director General and Director of the Research Department of CEIPI, and Professor Xiang Yu, Director of the Sino-European Institute for Intellectual Property of HUST.
