Between 17 and 28 June 2013, WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) organized in Marrakesh (Morocco) a diplomatic conference which concluded with the adoption of the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons who are Blind, Visually Impaired, or otherwise Print Disabled.

The CEIPI as a WIPO observer expressed support for the creation of such an international instrument during the sessions of the Standing Committee that led to the diplomatic conference.
