The Research Department of the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) of the University of Strasbourg is pleased to invite you to participate to the research ateliers “Artificial Intelligence & Intellectual Property: state of research”, which will take place on 19 & 20 May 2022, in Strasbourg.

This seminar is organized in partnership with the Technical University of Dresden, in particular the Institute of International Law, Intellectual Property and Technology Law (IRGET), under the scientific coordination of Jean-Marc Deltorn and Franck Macrez, Associate Professors at CEIPI and of Prof. Anne Lauber-Rönsberg, Professor of Civil Law, Intellectual Property Law at the Technical University of Dresden.

This seminar takes place with the financial support of the Franco-German University (UFA) for the organization of research workshops for young researchers devoted to artificial intelligence and its challenges in Europe. The objective of this approach is to intensify reflection on artificial intelligence from a Franco-German perspective and a European dimension.

The research ateliers that CEIPI and IRGET offer aim to examine the subject of IP and AI both from the perspective of European law and from the perspective of comparative law. In addition, interdisciplinary perspectives are also integrated into the program, such as the economic and sociological consequences of the advent of new AI applications as well as the impact of AI on innovation and artistic creation. The program is complemented by an interdisciplinary impulse, such as a comparison of human creativity and computational creativity from an artistic perspective.
