Elena Izyumenko and Natalia Kapyrina, two CEIPI’s researchers, in the top 3 of the ATRIP Essay Competition 2015

Ms.Elena Izyumenkoand Ms.Natalia Kapyrina, both Doctoral Candidates and Research Assistants at the CEIPI, have been awarded – respectively – second and third places in the 2015 Essay Competition for Young Researchers in Intellectual Property Law of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property (ATRIP).

This yearly essay competition – that scored a record number of entries this time – examines papers on any topic related to intellectual property law in English or French by authors no older than 35 years of age.

Elena Izyumenko has been awarded second place for her essay entitled “The Freedom of Expression Contours of Copyright in the Digital Era: A European Perspective”.

Natalia Kapyrina has been awarded third place for her essay entitled “Le dessin du modèle : vecteur de l’harmonisation internationale du droit des dessins et modèles ?”.

The two papers are soon to appear in the Journal of World Intellectual Property.

Elena Izyumenko and Natalia Kapyrina are both Doctoral Candidates under the supervision ofMr. Christophe Geiger, Professor at the University of Strasbourg and Director General of the CEIPI.
