Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO, elected Vice-Chairman of the CEIPI Administrative Council

CEIPI is honoured to announce the unanimous election of Mr Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO, as Vice-Chairman of its Administrative Council.

At the head of WIPO since 2020, Mr Tang has succeeded in transforming the global intellectual property ecosystem into a strategic lever for employment, investment, business growth and the socio-economic development of nations. He is working to make intellectual property accessible, inclusive and geared to the needs of women, young people, small and medium-sized enterprises and local entrepreneurs.

Faced with geopolitical challenges, economic uncertainties and the fast development of new technologies, Mr Tang promotes a vision in which intellectual property, innovation and creativity must act as pillars of global cooperation to meet global challenges.
