It is with great sadness that CEIPI and AACEIPI have just learned about the death of Mr. Philippe Chêne.
Philippe Chêne, graduate of CEIPI, headed for many years the industrial property service at the General Delegation for Armaments of the Ministry of National Defense; as such, he was in charge of the French section of CEIPI, teaching the law of patents and National Defense.
Philippe Chêne assisted the CEIPI, of which he was one of the alumni, for several decades and he devoted much of his time and energy to it. He was for many years the President of the AACEIPI (Association of alumni and friends of the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies), then treasurer of the association. In this capacity, he sat as a member of the Center's Board of Directors and participated through the AACEIPI in the organisation of many CEIPI events.
The whole team of AACEIPI and CEIPI, as well as its teachers-researchers, join the management of CEIPI to pay tribute to Philippe Chêne and to express their deepest sympathies to his family.
