Within the context of the 12th EIPIN Congress - European Intellectual Property Institutes NetworK, the CEIPI organized on February 24 to 25, 2011 a conference at the European Parliament of Strasbourg on the topic: "Constructing European IP law: achievements and new perspectives", coordinated by Christophe Geiger, General Director of the CEIPI, under the high patronage of Mrs Catherine Trautmann, Member of the European Parliament and Alain Beretz, President of the University of Strasburg.
The creation of a European system of intellectual property rights arises numerous fundamental issues; this conference aimed to examine the perspectives and opportunities for a factual harmonisation.
