The Advanced Program for Chinese Judges on Intellectual Property Court Practice, organized by IP Key and CEIPI, was launched Monday 20 March 2017 at the European Parliament in presence of public officials of the European Commission and the European Parliament. The two-week advanced training for Chinese Judges aims at strengthening knowledge and skills on intellectual property rights adjudication through peer-to-peer exchanges between Chinese and European IP judges and experts. By means of workshops, case-studies, jurisprudence analysis, group discussions, study visits and a mock trial, the program addresses key issues in court practice and litigation of intellectual property rights, while giving special attention to cross-cutting procedural aspects. The training program also intends to create a common understanding on trends and best-practices between EU and China, while hands-on comparative analysis between Chinese and EU practice will be instrumental to capture the complexities of adjudication process of intellectual property disputes.
