We are very pleased to announce that Mr. Francis Gurry, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and former President of the Administrative Board of CEIPI, has received the insignia of Knight of Academic Palms, on 8th December 2016, during a ceremony held in Strasbourg at the end of the meeting of CEIPI’s Administrative Board.
The ceremony took place in the presence of Prof. Michel Deneken, President of the University of Strasbourg, António Campinos, Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office and President of the Administrative Board of CEIPI, Prof. Christophe Geiger, Director General of CEIPI, members of the CEIPI’s Administrative Board, honorary members and CEIPI’s staff.
This honorary title rewards his academic merits and his investment to ensure the development of the Centre for the International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI).
