Signature of an exchange and co-operation agreement between the CEIPI (University of Strasbourg) and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Intellectual Property – (CEIDIE - University of Buenos Aires Law Faculty)

An exchange and co-operation agreement between the CEIPI and the CEIDIE, one of the main centres for intellectual property studies in South America and currently under the direction of Professor Carlos Correa, was signed on June 6, 2012 in Buenos Aires by Christophe Geiger, Director General of the CEIPI and Monica Pinto, dean of the law faculty at the University of Buenos Aires.

This important agreement between the CEIPI and the CEIDIE, institutions that share the same interest in rigorous academic research and dissemination of knowledge in the area of intellectual property law, will facilitate an exchange of experience and knowledge concerning teaching and research in the intellectual property field through an exchange of professors. Enhanced mobility for doctoral students should also be encouraged by this agreement.

The two universities also plan to publish papers resulting from joint research projects as well as to jointly organise conferences or seminars on innovative themes concerning intellectual property law and notably on international and global issues.
