Young Research Intellectual Property Day (JJRPI) in Paris, organized by the IRPI in partnership with CEIPI

The Research Institute in Intellectual Property (IRPI) is organizing, in partnership with CEIPI, CECOJI-UP, CUERPI, the School of Law of Sciences Po and the School of Law and Management of Paris II the Young Research Intellectual Property Day (JJRPI). The aim of this initiative is to create synergies between researchers in the field and, in particular, to increase the number of exchanges between PhD students and academics by promoting thesis work in a transversal and informal way. This day will take place on 4 October 2017, at the Arts Décoratifs de Paris.

During this day, the young researchers selected will be invited to submit their questions, for a constructive debate, in front of a panel of academics from several French and foreign universities.

The CEIPI will be represented for that day by Prof. Christophe Geiger, Director General and Director of CEIPI Research Department, Yann Basire, Lecturer at the University of Haute Alsace and at CEIPI, as rapporteurs and PhD students Oleksandr Bulayenko and Aurélien Bougeard, who will present their thesis work, “Collective Management of Copyright and Neighboring Rights in Europe” and respectively, “The ‘Big Data’ at the dawn of the regulation: the legal framework of predictive analytics software”.

This day will be preceded on 3 October 2017 by the conference “The Future of Intellectual Property” organized by the Association of Young Academics specialized in intellectual property (JUSPI) of the Faculty of Law of the University Paris Descartes.
