Mr. Christophe Geiger, Professor at the University of Strasbourg and Director General of the CEIPI, and Ms. Elena Izyumenko, Doctoral Candidate and Research Assistant at the CEIPI, will participate in the Expert Workshop on “Fairness, Morality and Equality in International and European Intellectual Property Law (FAME-IP)” at the King’s College of the University of Cambridgeon 8 March 2019. At this workshop, they will present their work-in-progress paper “Internalizing proportionality as a vehicle for fairness: A proposal for the introduction of an open clause in EU copyright law”.

Ms. Elena Izyumenko will also speak at the PhD Students Workshop held on the 7th of March with the topic: “Is there a freedom of expression right to trademark registration in Europe?”.

Both events are funded by the Academy of Finland Research Project.
