During the last plenary session, students of the Master 2 (LLM) in European and international IP law and PhD candidates, members of the Research Department at the CEIPI visited the EU Parliament. They were accompanied by Giancarlo Frosio, Senior lecturer at the CEIPI. They have met MEP Julia Reda, Vice-Chair of the Group of the Greens/ European Free Alliance. The discussion was related to the Proposal for a Directive of the European parliament and of the council on copyright in the Digital Single Market. This discussion-meeting was the tremendous opportunity for students to discover the political component of this reform.
They also participated to the discussion with Ms. Anne-Catherine Lorraine, Policy Advisor at the EU Parliament for the Group of the Greens and for the European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI), about the policy advisor’s work and about the report on above-mentioned Directive which is currently discussed in the JURI Committee.
