On 11 february 2009, a meeting was held in Strasbourg between the CEIPI and the OAPI (African Intellectual Property Organization). A series of decisions have been made in order to reinforce the cooperation between the two bodies.
This meeting followed the Dakar meeting on the intellectual property and the social and economical development of the member states of the OAPI.
Paulin Edou Edou, General Director of the OAPI had a lecture for the CEIPI students on the system of protection of intellectual property in Africa.
