Some important decisions were made during the last Administrative Board of the CEIPI that was held in Strasbourg on 05 June 2009.
At first, Mr Manuel Desantes, Law Professor at the University Of Alicante (Spain) and former Vice President of the European Patent Office was invited to join the Administrative Board.
Secondly, Mr Christophe Geiger, General Director of CEIPI was appointed Director of the CEIPI's Research Laboratory, taking over from Prof. Joanna Schmidt-Szalewski who is retiring at the end of the academic year.
And finally, Mr Thierry Debled, International Patent Manager at Vesuvio, European and Belgian attorney and lecturer at the CEIPI, has been appointed responsible for the Basic European Patent Law Training Courses.
