Summary
OVERVIEW
Unique in Europe and in the world, this Summer School offers a ten-days course of theoretical and practical training for both scientific and legal backgrounds. Participants will also be able to build on the knowledge acquired during the various workshops.
Prior to the start of the Summer School, participants will have access to pre-recorded lectures. These dynamic short videos aim to convey to participants the general principles and core concepts of intellectual property in Europe.

INTENDED AUDIENCE
The programme is open to IP professionals, researchers, lawyers, attorneys, legal European professionals not specialized in IP or non-European IP experts.
LANGUAGE OF TRAINING
English.
PREREQUISITES
The course is open to professionals in the field of intellectual property law, but also to researchers as well as to European and non-European lawyers, whether or not specialised in IP law. As the whole course is taught in English, a good command of the language is required. Students from all over the world are welcome to register.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The Summer School aims at providing a general overview of the Patent System within the European Union’s legal framework, as well as practical solutions in regard to patent enforcement, licensing and litigation in Europe. The course is addressed especially to students and practitioners willing to gain a solid background in European and international patent law.
All participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of attendance. Attendance and active participation in at least 80% of the program is required.
LECTURERS
The lecturers are selected from the academic staff of CEIPI, from experts in the intellectual property field, including professors and experienced practitioners but also official representatives, examiners, members of opposition chambers and so on.
TEACHING METHODS
Presentations, discussions and exchange of experiences, case studies, workshops, Presentations and pre-recorded videos.
COURSE MATERIALS
The course materials are shared via the Seafile platform dedicated to training.
The pre-recorded videos will be shared via the learning platform of the University of Strasbourg (Moodle).
NATURE AND RECOGNITION OF THE TRAINING
This training constitutes an action of adaptation and development of skills. It leads to the delivery of a certificate of attendance.

- 1 900 € for all registrations from 03 June 2023
