Presentation and Educational objectives
The aim of the Intellectual Property Business Administration certified course is to provide distance training for specialists (IP lawyers, IP attorneys, industrial property attorneys) and non-specialists in intellectual property, such as marketing professionals, project managers, company directors and anyone else interested, in the role of intellectual property in business and its day-to-day management.
In addition to being aimed at non-specialists in the field, this diploma offers basic instruction in the management of intellectual property rights.
The European Patent Office (EPO) has developed considerable expertise in the field of intellectual property management, and has joined forces with CEIPI to enrich the content of this diploma with the development of three teaching modules.
Language of training: English
Participants are flexible in their education. Learning without time pressure, as well as with a job and family are possible. With the modular system of these Certificates, participants can learn only what they currently need.
Application and Admission
No prerequisites are required other than a good knowledge of the English language.
Programme
Each module can be taken independently. You can take the whole course, modules 1 to 4 or 5 to 8, or just register for a few modules.
Each module includes an online knowledge assessment in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire.
A certificate of participation will be issued at the end of the course.

Type of training and certification
This training allows obtaining a certificate of participation.
Evaluation and examination
The examination consists in a multiple-choice examination at the end of each module. Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 10/20 in the examination.
Online content access duration
The duration of the training depends on the number of modules chosen. Access is granted for 3 months per module, up to a maximum of 12 months. Therefore, if a participant chooses 3 modules, they will have 9 months’ access.

- Price per module: €900
- Package of modules 1 to 4 or 5 to 8 (1 year of training, 4 modules): €3,250
Information and registration
Registrations stay open all year round without break (expect the 3 first weeks in August).
Candidates must complete an online pre-registration form accessible from May 5, 2025.
