European project Erasmus+, “AI-Driven Training System on Product Safety for Professionals - AI4ProSa”

The Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) at the University of Strasbourg is one of the partners in the Erasmus+ project (Strategic Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training) entitled “AI-Driven Training System on Product Safety for Professionals - AI4ProSa”, coordinated by the Association AIJU (Technological Institute for Children’s Products and Leisure) in Spain.

The project “AI-Driven Training System on Product Safety for Professionals - AI4ProSa” aims to contribute to the improvement and updating of the skills of SME professionals, future professionals and teachers in vocational training centers with regard to the requirements and obligations established by the European Union in the field of product safety. This project will help them acquire new skills and enable them to integrate the advantages of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into their training and work.

During the implementation of the project, an AI-based generative assistant will be developed to establish and execute a personalized training plan on product safety for the EU market. This AI-based generative assistant will be disseminated through training activities in Spain, the Czech Republic and Germany. The project is aimed at professionals in companies, mainly SMEs, that market consumer goods in the EU, but also at students of educational science and vocational training.

CEIPI’s contribution to the project is to ensure that the AI tutor respects the ethical principles of artificial intelligence by raising awareness of these issues and ensuring the application of the EU regulatory framework to the tutor developed as part of the product safety regulation project.

The project is being carried out under the scientific coordination of Prof. Jean-Marc Deltorn, Professor at CEIPI, and Ms Elodie Migliore, PhD student at CEIPI, who is focusing her research on the intersection of AI and intellectual property law.

Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, the project began in December 2024 and will run until May 2027.
