07 December 2018: Signature of an agreement for a joint doctorate between CEIPI and INPI


CEIPI and INPI signed in 2014 an agreement to strengthen their cooperation in the legal training of intellectual property and to develop common areas of research.

As part of this collaboration, CEIPI and INPI have decided to implement several activities, including a PhD project in partnership with the Region Grand Est, on the topic “Patent litigation in Europe in the light of the European patent with unitary effect and its implementation before the UPC”. Mrs. Anna Lawrynowicz-Drewek was recruited in this context, to complete successfully this doctoral project, for a period of 3 years.

The co-financing agreement for this project was signed on 7 December 2018, during the last Administrative Board of CEIPI, held in Strasbourg

Mr. Pascal Faure, Director General of INPI and Mr. Christophe Geiger, Director General of CEIPI, in
the presence of Mr. Benoît Battistelli, Former President of the European Patent Office (EPO) and
President of CEIPI’s Administrative Board and Mrs. Anna Lawrynowicz-Drewek, PhD researcher for
this project
