Signature of the Annual Convention 2018 implementing the agreement between the CEIPI and INPI

CEIPI and INPI signed in 2014 an agreement to strengthen their cooperation in the legal training of intellectual property and to develop common areas of research.

As part of this collaboration, CEIPI and INPI have decided to implement several activities, by means of annual conventions. The annual convention 2018 was signed on 22 June 2018, during the last Administrative Board of CEIPI, held in Strasbourg, at the Council of Europe.

The two partners will develop several projects in 2018, including:

- activities related with the Unified Patent Court (UPC), including update training modules in the UPC and meetings of the scientific council of the Training Program for Technically Qualified Judges of the UPC;

- CEIPI/WIPO/INPI Advanced Course on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Licensing, intended to senior officials of national intellectual property offices in developing countries;

- a PhD project in partnership with the Region Grand Est, on the topic “Patent litigation in Europe in the light of the European patent with unitary effect and its implementation before the UPC”.
